Recognition of Shock
In the early stages of shock it can be recognised from a rise in heart rate, and some light-headedness, but at this point, symptoms can usually be resolved by drinking fluids.
In a more serious case of shock, symptoms include:
- Ashen coloured skin (grey/blue)
- Clammy and cold skin to touch
- Feeling of sickness and thirst
- Breathing will be rapid and shallow
- Rapid, weak pulse
- Chest Pain
- Dizziness/Fainting
