First Aid can be performed anywhere; however, it’s provision in the workplace is governed by certain Laws and regulations, these are:

• Health & Safety At Work Act 1974 (Main body of legislation)
• Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 Employers are required to provide adequate personnel, training, equipment and facilities to render FIRST AID to their employees should they become injured or taken ill at work
• These regulations also cover First Aid Kits & First Aiders
• It is an enabling act which allows changes to be made where necessary
• Management of the Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999 Replaced by HSG65 in Jan 2014 to give guidance, including:

• Delivering effective arrangements
