Good Posture
It is important to hold a good posture while you perform moving and handling tasks to avoid causing injury. Good practice ways of doing this are:
- Keep your feet in line with your hips, with one foot pointing in the direction of the move
- Keep your knees bent, flexible and relaxed
- Never twist waist whilst manual handling
- Keep your back straight, do not stoop
- Keep head and neck in line with your back.
