Recognising Changes in Mood or Behaviour

People will not/ cannot always tell you when something has affected their mood, so it is important to be able to recognise the changes in their behaviour that may indicate their mood has changed.

Not recognising the signs can make them un-predictable.

Examples of changes in behaviour which may be a sign include:

  • Change in Body language
  • Agitated
  • Shakes
  • Red faced
  • Sweaty
  • Staring eyes
  • Squeaky/ raised voice
  • Gesticulations
  • Grinding teeth
  • Pale
  • Stammering
  • Some people just go very quiet?
  • This can make them un-predictable if we have not recognised this as a sign
